Xtrac Strengthens Management Team

Xtrac are pleased to announce the recent appointments of Greg Andrews as Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) Manager, and Steve Hatt as Operations Director. These appointments strengthen the existing management team, enabling Xtrac to continue to grow in the motorsport and high performance automotive transmissions sectors and in particular the next generation of transmissions for EVs and hybrids that are now entering production.

Andrews graduated from Cardiff Metropolitan University with a BSc in Environmental Health and started his career in Quality and Safety Assurance for Unilever. He gained certification to the Environmental Health Registration Board whilst working for the Vale of Glamorgan Council and most recently held the position of Regional Quality, Safety, Security and Environment advisor for Atkins. With his varied background in enforcement and safety leadership Greg will be instrumental in driving forward Xtrac’s safety culture.

Xtrac’s CEO, Adrian Moore, commented, “Xtrac has a significant focus on the Health, Safety and Environmental well-being of our staff, and we have an effective Health and Safety Committee which includes a number of employee representatives. We have until now outsourced the specialist HS&E knowledge, but with Greg’s broad background we are now able to bring this knowledge in-house to ensure that we are not only compliant with all regulations, but that we can genuinely be World Class in all aspects of HS&E”.

Hatt joins the existing Leadership team as Operations Director with an impressive track-record in high value manufacturing. Graduating from Coventry University with a BSC in Engineering he followed this with an MBA from Aston University.  His career very quickly led to senior manufacturing and operational management roles within the UK aerospace industry including most recently Head of Operations for Chromalloy in Crewe. “Steve joins us with a huge enthusiasm to deliver our ambitious growth plans, and as our latest generation of high performance automotive EV and hybrid transmissions enter production, the timing is perfect” said Moore.

Hatt commented “Xtrac recently won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise Innovation with its new range of ILEV (Integrated Lightweight Electric Vehicle) transmissions, and I am relishing the challenge of productionising that product range, as well as ensuring that we continue to support our multiple motorsport and high performance automotive customers around the World”.
