About The Role
As a Stores Picker at Xtrac, you’ll be responsible for the accurate picking and packing of stock parts in preparation for our Build Shop to assemble as per the sales order. You’ll need to have an eye for detail to ensure that each of the parts listed on the order sheet are picked and accounted for. You’ll not only pick parts for orders, but you’ll also pack parts for both external sales orders and internal storage in line with company guidelines. You’ll also be involved in stock activities including participating in annual and perpetual stock taking and restocking of department consumables as required so you’ll need to have a numerical mind, our stock accuracy is an integral part to this function as it means we are able to supply product effectively and accurately to our customers and for the picking of gear box parts.
Health and Safety is a huge part of our operation, so you’ll be required to adhere to, and always observe all Health and Safety rules put in place, supporting with cleaning and department improvement activities as required. In addition to this we have company procedures in place to ensure the quality of our products is maintained to our high standards, so you’ll need to follow these accordingly in line with your responsibilities.
We’re looking for someone who is already familiar with a store environment and has experience of stock taking, picking, packing and deliveries. It’s preferred if you have a level of experience using an MRP/ERP system but isn’t essential as we will train you on ours. You’ll have the ability to follow processes and procedures whilst working at pace to keep up the with the high demands of customer requirements and short lead times we often experience.
