About The Job

You’ll be working in our main Milling department where you will be responsible for setting, operating and running Milling centres to produce transmission components to the company quality standards. You will be carrying out programming and editing functions to produce high quality components to drawing specifications.

Consulting with engineers/machinists to manufacture work-holding fixtures and devices, undertake day to day maintenance of machines and your working area alongside consulting with production control for work requirements. You’ll also be required to complete Quality Control Plans and other documentation to support our high quality standard.

In this role, you will be working in a machine shop environment.

About You

We’re looking for someone with either a strong background in an engineering environment or has completed an engineering or similar apprenticeship and has sound working knowledge of engineering/manufacturing processes. Having experience within a Motorsport/Automotive/Aerospace industry is highly advantageous as you’ll be used to the types of components similar to ours.

You’ll have proven experience in setting, programming, editing and operating CNC milling machines is essential along with tool making experience. We also need you to be able to understand comprehensive engineering drawings and instructions, able to visualise finished products and have a good understanding of the properties of the materials we work with.

Ideally you will have working knowledge of Edgecam, Unigraphics, Fanuc and Yasnac controls. You will ideally have knowledge of the following machines:

  • Matsuura RA2 twin pallet 3 axis
  • Matsuura MC-660 4 axis
  • Matsuura MC- 550 4 axis
  • Matsuura MC- 450 4 axis
  • Mori Seiki MV45B 4 axis
  • Matsuura MAM72S2 and MAM72-25V
  • Hitachi Seiki HS630, HG400,
  • Matsuura ES-450H
