About the role
We are looking for a Grinder who has the capability to also be a Grinding Trainer to join our very successful Xtrac Academy.
You will be required to set, programme, edit, operate, and run a range of CNC and Manual Grinding machines and be responsible for carrying out programming and editing functions to product high quality components to drawing specifications and quality, you will establish best machining methods when required.
As a grinding trainer your main duties will be to coach, advise and guide our apprentices and support them to develop and learn the skills to be a grinder.
Ideally, you will also have experience of other operations disciplines including milling, turning and gear cutting. This will ensure you are able to support the apprenticeship academy training plan in all areas.
In this role, you will be working in a machine shop environment, alongside our Xtrac Academy.
About you
We are seeking an individual who has a mechanical or engineering background ideally having undertaken an apprenticeship. Having knowledge of CNC grinding or manual grinding is essential along with knowledge of operating, setting, and programming CNC grinding machines. The ability to understand engineering drawings and tolerances is a must.
Having on the job experience within a motorsport, automotive or aerospace background is very desirable and a drive to help others learn and develop their skills.
