Xtrac opens it’s doors to celebrate innovation and community

On Saturday 11th October, Xtrac proudly opened its doors for a spectacular family & friends open day, welcoming over 315 guests, including distinguished visitors such as the Mayor of Thatcham, Mayor of Newbury, CEO of West Berkshire Council, and Newbury MP Lee Dillon.

Guests enjoyed a guided tour, offering an hour-long journey through the heart of our operations. Starting in the design office and concluding in the end of line testing, visitors explored every stage of our manufacturing process.

Beyond the factory floor, the event offered plenty of interactive fun, with hands on activities at our STEM activity table, building cold air balloons and exploring engineering concepts. Visitors tested their reflexes on the Scalextric track, admired our show cars, and enjoyed the impressive line up at the Xtrac Motor Meet, featuring vehicles brought in by our own employees.

We were honoured to showcase some truly exceptional vehicles, including:

  • GMA T.50s featuring our P1366 gearbox and P1371 HPM
  • Czinger 21C with our P1385 rear gearbox, P1396 HPM, and P1320 front reduction gearboxes
  • Aston Martin Vantage AMR GTE with our P1529F gearbox
  • Nissan March Turbo Group A rally car, brought by Xtrac founder Mike Endean, featuring our original 4WD ‘TX’ P002 gearbox

This marked the first time these iconic cars — including the GMA T.50s, Czinger 21C, and World Championship-winning Aston Martin Vantage AMR GTE — have been displayed together.
