Xtrac joins City & Guilds Skills Share Event celebrating 10 years of the Princess Royal Training Awards

Xtrac was proud to be invited to the second-ever City & Guilds Skills Share event, held on 30th April 2025 at the magnificent Goldsmiths’ Hall in London. The event marked a significant milestone – the 10th anniversary of the Princess Royal Training Awards – and brought together over 130 past award recipients for a day of shared learning, inspiration, and reflection on a decade of investment in skills development.

It was a special honour to welcome HRH The Princess Royal, President of the City & Guilds of London Institute, whose continued support for the awards has been instrumental in raising standards across the sector.

Representing Xtrac at the event was Chris Marrs, who was invited to speak on a panel discussing the far-reaching impact of the Princess Royal Training Awards. Chris, who joined Xtrac as an apprentice nearly ten years ago, shared his personal journey and the pivotal role the awards have played in both his development and the company’s growth.

Chris highlighted Xtrac has proudly received the Princess Royal Training Award three times (2018, 2021, and 2024), a testament to the strength and quality of its apprenticeship programme. “These awards acknowledge the transformation apprentices undergo and winning them confirms to us we’re on the right track. The rigorous standards of the award process validate our commitment to excellence in training,” he added.

Xtrac is honoured to be recognised alongside a diverse range of organisations making a real impact through skills development and looks forward to continuing its journey of innovation, growth and opportunity for future generations of talent.
