On 1st April 2025, Xtrac hosted the latest GTA England Employer Advisory Group meeting at their headquarters in Thatcham, Berkshire.

This important gathering of training providers and employers was part of GTA England’s ongoing mission to strengthen skills, training, and apprenticeship provision across the country. The Employer Advisory Group plays a key role in ensuring that vocational education continues to meet the real needs of UK industry—especially in high-skill, high-performance sectors like engineering and motorsport.

On the agenda was key topics including revisiting their report and recommendations around a revised Apprenticeship and Skills Levy—an issue continuing to be front of mind for employers navigating skills development in a rapidly changing landscape. The meeting also included an in depth tour of the facilities, including the Xtrac Academy, set up exclusively for our apprenticeship programme.
