About the Role
Reporting to the Parts Finishing Team Leader and working as part of a small flexible team, you will be responsible for the Polishing and Finishing of transmission components within our day shift team. Working to Production Control lists of daily requirements, you must be able to prioritise your workload accordingly.
Your primary role will be hand fettling, drilling and cleaning transmission components. In addition you will be required to support in the operation of Mass, Stream and Drag surface polishing.
You will undertake day to day machine and equipment maintenance, and be required to strictly observe strict Health and Safety rules at all times.
About You
Ideally you will be from an engineering/metal preparation process background and have knowledge and understanding of the material and machinery used in manufacture, for example lathes, pillar drills and polishing/grinding machines.
You will be dexterous, and able to use small finishing tools, whilst having an eye for detail.
You’ll be willing to learn new skills and use your own initiative to solve problems.
