We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support the rapid growth of our business and strengthen our busy Manufacturing Support Office.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the manufacturing schedule is achieved on time in full; you will determine corrective actions and enact change on correct products as part of a continuous improvement. You will model, create and amend CAD modelling and drafting on NX 3D CAD to company standards and procedures for our innovative transmission systems used by the World’s top racing teams including Formula 1, IndyCar, Sportscar and Rally. Our innovative transmissions are also being used in the next generation of ultra-high performance hybrid and EV hypercars.
The successful candidate will assist in troubleshooting products that have failed end of line tests and advise on correct actions. They will answer sub-contract and shop floor queries for individual parts to achieving quality and delivery KPI targets. Tasks will also include assisting with development projects as required, observe health and safety rules and follow company quality procedures.
We are seeking an individual who has a mechanical/ engineering background from a minimum of a HNC/HND engineering related discipline. Candidates will have knowledge of the basics of transmission functionality, a good working knowledge of draughting, geometric tolerances and manufacturing methods. Having knowledge of DFMEA and the use of DMAIC root cause analysis and improvement cycles is also a must.
The successful candidate will be a competent CAD user preferably with NX and TeamCenter experience. They will have excellent IT skills including Word and Excel, alongside being an organised structured problem solver. Being a confident communicator both internally and to suppliers is a fundamental of the role as well being able to work across multiple projects and priorities accordingly. Having the ability to understand A3 problem solving and root cause analysis is a must.
