About the Position:
As a result of continued success and business growth, we are looking for a Human Resource Administrator/Staff Accountant. This position will assist management in Human Resources functions as our employee count grows, as well as administering payroll and benefits. You’ll assist all areas of the employee lifecycle from recruitment of employees to leavers and everything else in between, as a result we need someone who is able to build great working relationships and trust with colleagues.  The Staff Accountant activities include assisting the Financial Controller and Accountant with daily accounting and administrative duties as required. This is an on-site position at the Indianapolis facility, with some travel to support the North Carolina site from time to time.
We are a small team of approximately 40 people split across two sites, and work in a fast-paced environment; no day is ever the same, so you’ll need to be organized, detail oriented and be able to work under pressure effectively. Your responsibilities to name a few:
Human Resource Tasks
- Working with management to develop and implement personnel policies and procedures.
- Performing benefit administration.
- Process bi-weekly payroll including maintaining employee personnel files.
- Support with the recruitment of new staff.
- Minimal travel may be required.
Accounting Tasks
- Support daily customer invoicing.
- Assist in processing customer payments.
- Entering supplier invoices.
- Assist in supplier payments.
- Administrative duties to include mail distribution, ordering of office supplies, greeting visitors, and other similar office-based tasks as assigned.
About You:
We’re looking for the following skills and experience to be successful in this varied, fast paced role:
- 1-3 years of experience working in Accounting & Payroll, required.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field of study, preferred.
- Knowledge of HR principles and federal/state/local regulations.
- Experience with ADP WorkforceNow, preferred.
- Working knowledge of multi-state sales taxes are a plus.
- Proficient IT skills with ability to work with the full Microsoft Office suite, Outlook Calendars, Teams, Excel, etc.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Exceptionally organized, ethical, and accurate.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines and as result, able to multi-task and prioritize, and conclude tasks with concise communication.
- Must be a self-starter, we are not looking to micromanage.
- Strong relationship building skills with the ability to build trust and always have an awareness of confidentiality.
- Exceptional administration skills with previous experience in an administrative role.
