About The Job
We are currently recruiting for a Heat Treatment Technician to undertake the Heat Treat Process in a busy, growing team, this is a great opportunity for an experienced Heat Treatment Technician to develop and grow their career.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a knowledge of using atmospheric and vacuum heat treatment equipment, techniques and operating procedures working with a range of metals, particularly steel. You will also have hands on experience of undertaking processes such as: case hardening, tempering and stress relieving.
You will have experience with material coupon preparation, micro-section and hardness checking as well as operating procedures and effective jigging techniques
Although not essential, experience of NDT (specifically Magnetic Particle Inspection & Acid Etch) would be of great benefit as there is the opportunity for this to form part of the role, and training can be provided
Working with furnaces and other machinery you will need to be aware of health and safety practices and procedures and will work in a responsible manner.
Due to the nature of our work it is imperative that you adhere to department standards creating records including quality certificates and process sheets for each job you complete.
Working with other departments you will be required to advise Production Engineers on any tooling, jigs and fixtures you require, so good communication skills are a must.
Due to the volume in workload applicants should have a flexible approach to working hours with a willingness to work some overtime.
