We are looking for heat treatment assistants to join our passionate and experienced team to support the heat treatment process in our state-of-the-art facilities in Thatcham, UK.
You will be assisting the heat treatment technicians with the preparation and processing of parts for heat treatment, this will include cleaning parts, applying stop-off compound, assembling fixtures & grit-blasting.
There will be opportunities to gain knowledge of using atmospheric and vacuum heat treatment equipment, undertaking processes such as: carburising, hardening, tempering, stress relieving and gain experience of material coupon preparation for hardness testing as well as operating procedures and effective jigging technique.
About you
We are looking for enthusiastic, passionate, and motivated people to join a fast-paced, and dynamic team who are building the best transmission systems in the world.
You will be educated to GCSE level in maths and science and be aware of health and safety policies and procedures.
You will have a can-do attitude with the desire to want to learn and progress and have experience or an interest with manual dexterity work.
Whilst we’re not necessarily looking for people with experience working within a heat treat department, it would be good if you have some experience within a manual handling or workshop/manufacturing environment.
However, above all else we’re looking for people who want to learn and progress with the right behaviours and attitude.
