About The Job
You will be responsible for programming, editing and operating a range of Okuma machines to produce transmission system parts to the company’s quality standards
Ideally you will have completed a formal apprenticeship and have general engineering experience including turning and toolmaking, ideally in the automotive, aerospace or motorsport industries.
You should also have a sound knowledge of Manual Turning, you must be self-sufficient enough to make fixtures and tooling, and have experience of working with small batches, sometimes of a complex nature.
Ideally, you will also have CMM and other automated measuring equipment knowledge. You must be able to understand comprehensive engineering drawings and instructions, be able to visualise finished products and have a good understanding of the properties of the materials we work with. Good levels of concentration are a must, as are being able to work both unsupervised and as part of a team.
You will have a flexible attitude to work and overtime, have initiative, and be able to work constructively under pressure with various shifts available.
