Cleaner

About The Job

The overall objective of the Cleaner role is to carry out cleaning duties within our office and factory production areas as required.

You will need to help provide a clean working environment for all staff to undertake their duties.

Cleaning task will include: Factory floors & Offices, Workshops & Production areas, External Yard & Factory Machines external surfaces. But can also include toilets and urinals and communal kitchenettes and canteen areas.

Assist with waste streaming and recycling from our Manufacturing Areas & Offices

You will be required to use various types of cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, ride on and walk behind floor scrubbers, jet washers and rotary/buffer floor machines. Full training will be provided.

You will undertake stocktake of cleaning supplies and catering sundry products and help put away the monthly deliveries. Receive our Milk delivery and distribute around the kitchenettes, rotating stock and reporting stock quantities.

You will be required to assist with basic maintenance tasks, liaising with contractors and help with the opening and closing of the premises.

The ideal candidate will have experience of COSHH in respect cleaning chemicals and their uses.

About You

In this role you will need to be able to work independently and with other members of the cleaning team and will require you to assist with manual handling tasks.

You will need good communication skills, attention to detail and be methodical in your approach. A flexibility to work overtime and weekends is desirable.

You will be required to complete cleaning records as required and to carry out any reasonable additional duties as requested by management.
