Xtrac are looking for an Automotive Quality Engineer Lead to join our busy and expanding business.
This role will be leading the introduction and implementation of the automotive quality standard through successful certification. You will be responsible for the quality management system, ensuring internal procedures are followed and defining, documenting, and maintaining the processes and procedures required.
The successful candidate will be managing a team of Senior Quality Engineers, so you will have excellent communication skills, being able to work with people at all levels across the business and develop valuable working relationships with customers. You will also be maintaining records required by the standard, working with the other departments to gather and report data.
About you
We are looking for someone with good leadership skills and an eye for detail who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
You will need
- Minimum of HNC/HND in an engineering related discipline
- Auditor Training certificate / qualification
- In depth knowledge of ISO9001 & IATF16949
- Knowledge of problem solving and root cause analysis tools
- Experience of implementing and/or managing IATF16949 QMS
- Experience of auditing of Quality Management Systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications such as word and excel
Ideally you will have experience of managing a small team but this is not essential.
