Skills in Action: Showcasing Xtrac at the House of Commons

On Wednesday 5th March, Xtrac proudly took part in the City & Guilds Skills in Action event held at the House of Commons — a platform dedicated to highlighting the vital role of skills development in driving the UK’s productivity and economic growth.

Representing Xtrac at this influential event were Warren Page, Apprentice Manager, and Faye Cooke, Apprentice Trainer, who joined industry leaders and education partners to share insights into the transformational impact of apprenticeships and vocational training.

Organised by City & Guilds, the drop-in session invited MPs and Peers to learn about the organisation’s broad range of initiatives aimed at tackling the national skills shortage and fostering long-term growth across sectors. The event provided a valuable opportunity to underline the importance of high-quality skills training in supporting individuals, businesses, and communities.

The event was used to highlight Xtrac’s long-standing commitment to apprenticeships and the critical role our programme plays in nurturing future talent. By sharing real-world success stories and experiences, they showcased how Xtrac is actively contributing to the local economy through skills development and career opportunities for young people.

Xtrac remains committed to supporting skills for life and continuing to champion initiatives building a stronger, more capable future for all.
