Everybody at Xtrac past and present would like to pass on our condolences to the Williams family and everybody at Williams Racing and Williams Advanced Engineering following the passing of Sir Frank Williams yesterday (28th November).  His drive and determination made Williams one of the most successful Formula One teams, and in particular in the 1980s and 1990s he shaped Formula One with the way that their 16 World Championships were won.

Xtrac and Williams have been inextricably linked since the formation of our company in 1984, with Peter Digby our President being a protégée of Sir Frank when he worked at Williams in the 1980s, and we are proud of our contribution to many of their Championship successes.  Many fitting tributes to Sir Frank have been written and David Tremayne’s memories published on the F1 website sum up Sir Frank:
