P1385 HYPERCAR TRANSVERSE SYNCROMESH GEARBOX

The P1385 Xtrac Syncromesh gearbox has been designed to utilise Divergent Adaptive Production System (DAPS) technology to allow the design and manufacture of a gearbox with a significant level of 3D printed componentry combining conventional human design with AI optimised topology. The gearbox has been designed for the Czinger 21C Hypercar which is incorporating DAPS into every aspect of its cars design and manufacture pioneering the way in additive manufacturing technology.

Specification

  • 7-speed automated manual transmission
  • 745Nm Continuous, 1005Nm Max input torque
  • 3D Printed GB maincase, side covers & multiple ancillary components
  • Helical gear ground gears optimised for refinement and strength
  • Twin barrel gear actuation with dual P1371 48V gearchange actuators allowing sub 100ms gearshifts
  • Electrically actuated differential preload adjuster
  • Multi cone synchronisers on all forward gears
  • Gearbox systems and mechatronics managed by Xtrac’s own TCU
  • Weight approximately 110kg including all gearchange & diff actuator mechatronics

Benefits

  • Significant maincase and ancillary component mass savings utilizing Divergent’s proprietary 3D printed aluminium alloy with structurally optimised topology only achievable with 3DP technology.
  • First 48V electrically actuated twin barrel system resulting in the fastest automated single clutch synchromesh gearbox in existence.
  • Dual barrel gear actuation allows for seamless EV to Rear Drive blending for smooth city driving.
  • Sub 100ms shifts combined with blending of front axle EV power allows for seamless shifts for high performance driving.
  • Highest torque transmitted per mass of gearcase for any road legal vehicle.
