Peter Digby honoured with MIA Award for Outstanding Contribution to Motorsport Industry

Xtrac is proud to congratulate Peter Digby, member of the Xtrac Board of Directors and Chairman of the British Racing Drivers’ Club (BRDC), on receiving the 2025 Motorsport Industry Association (MIA) Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Motorsport Industry.

The prestigious award was presented on Tuesday 24th June at the House of Lords during the MIA’s annual summer reception, attended by leading figures from across the motorsport and high-performance engineering sectors.

This prestigious award from the MIA – the world’s leading organisation for the motorsport and high-performance engineering industry – recognises outstanding personal contribution to this industry. Past winners include Toto Wolff, Ross Brawn OBE, Martin Brundle OBE, Adrian Newey OBE, and Sir Jackie Stewart.

Peter’s long-standing commitment to the motorsport sector spans more than 45 years, including over three decades of active involvement with the MIA, where he previously served as Chairman. His leadership, strategic insight, and passion for excellence have left a lasting mark on British motorsport and helped shape its global reputation.

Speaking at the event, Peter Digby said ““Winning the MIA Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Motorsport Industry is a great moment for me. I’ve been involved with the MIA for over 30 years, served as Chairman, and witnessed first-hand the positive impact the Association has had. To be recognised by my peers in an industry I love — and have worked in for more than 45 years — is truly an honour. It’s been a wonderful evening, and the award came as a complete surprise.”

MIA Chief Executive Chris Aylett added ““Peter deserves all the praise he receives for winning this award, voted for by our members. His deep knowledge, extensive experience, and unwavering drive to bring success to Xtrac have been an inspiration. Many across motorsport today have benefited from Peter’s wise counsel, constructive critique, and steadfast support.”
