On 17th April, the first leadership volunteering event of 2025 took place, as Andy Price and Kirsty Knight led a dedicated team in support of our charity partner, Berkshire Youth.

Held at the Waterside Youth & Community Centre in Newbury, the day brought together colleagues from across the business, Together, they rolled up their sleeves and got stuck into a variety of tasks aimed at transforming the centre’s outdoor spaces.

The team took on the challenge of tidying the courtyard garden, clearing and replanting all the planters on the terrace with fresh summer bedding plants, cleaning down the railings, and sorting out the canoe shed. With teamwork and a lot of elbow grease, the space was given a vibrant new lease of life—ready for the centre’s many young visitors to enjoy.

The team was invited to test out the centre’s canoes—a well-earned reward and a fun twist on the usual engineering environment.

We’re proud to support Berkshire Youth and look forward to more volunteering events throughout the year. A huge thank you to everyone who took part and made a difference in our local community.
