Xtrac’s Chairman, Peter Digby was awarded the ‘Leadership Award’ at the EEF’s Future Manufacturing National Awards dinner on 31st January, held at the Grand Connaught Rooms in London.
The award recognises individuals who have demonstrated outstanding leadership in making a significant contribution to their business and or the UK manufacturing sector.
Reflecting on having Lead two MBO’s in 1997 and more recently in 2015, Peter stated “With the first MBO we stipulated that 49% of the company should be owned by the employees as they are our most valuable asset.” and ”the formation of our Employee Benefit Trust (EBT) was the best decision of my working life.”. Digby continued saying “the second MBO was part of a long term succession plan that strengthened the Senior Management Team to ensure they are fully committed and motivated well into the future.”
The Future Manufacturing Awards aren’t just about celebrating success. They’re about rewarding change, building partnerships, progressing ideas, developing good practice and investing in people. The Awards are open to all manufacturing organisations and their supply chains regardless of size.
Judged regionally and nationally by independent industry experts and peers, they are the most established and respected of their kind – giving real recognition to those that demonstrate a commitment to the future of UK manufacturing.
