Electric Premiere in Rally

The ŠKODA RE-X1 Kreisel electric racing car has entered the world of motorsport in full force. At the Rallye Weiz in Austria, it was the first electric car in the history of rally competition to complete the full course without any difficulties. Competing against combustion engine cars, it finished third overall in the race.

Each of the two ŠKODA RE-X1 Kreisel’s electric motors are coupled to an Xtrac P1316 Electric World Rallycross Transmission. The P1316 is a single speed ILEV e-axle for electric-powered vehicles for cars competing in the FIA World Rallycross Championship from 2022 and suitable for Rally and circuit racing cars such as electric touring cars.
