Xtrac is pleased to announce the opening of the application process for our 2022 apprentice intake and are offering Princess Royal Training award winning apprenticeship programmes which follow an IfATE approved programme.

We have two different Apprenticeship levels available, to suit your preferred career goals.

Level 2 intermediate Apprenticeship, Engineering Operative is an 18 month programme which combines practical on the job training with attendance at Newbury College one day a week (term-time). Application Details.

Level 3 Engineering Technician is a 4 year programme that combines practical on the job training with attendance at Newbury College one day a week (term-time). Application Details.

You will be supported throughout your training by our Apprentice Manager Warren Page who will ensure that your transition into Xtrac and full-time employment is as easy as possible.

The global automotive industry is undergoing a once in a generation transformation as the automobile transitions from conventional petrol and diesel power, through hybrid to electric as the global transport system is decarbonised. One of the fundamental technologies needed for this transition is the vehicle’s transmission system, and our long standing award winning apprentice programme provides our people and our future leaders who will deliver this technology
