Design Engineers

We currently have great opportunities available for experienced Design Engineers to join our Engineering Team. 

Reporting to a Principal Engineer and operating as part of a small cohesive team, you will be responsible for the design and detail of gearbox components and complete transmission systems, using the Unigraphics 3D CAD system. 

Qualified to a minimum of BEng or BSc degree level, or equivalent, in Mechanical, Automotive or Aerospace Engineering you will have gained post graduate experience in a design engineering environment using 3D CAD. Knowledge of Unigraphics NX4 is preferable, however training will be given. Previous Motorsport experience is also preferable, but not essential, but you should have experience of designing rotating metal components.

Excellent organisational and IT skills (MS Office) are a prerequisite, and your  experience to date will have equipped you with knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, controls and quality standards, together with MRP systems.

Success of projects will depend on your excellent communication skills, specifically to liaise closely with customers and to forge good working relationships throughout Xtrac.

You will have the ability to work calmly and constructively in a pressurised priority changing environment, be able to manage and prioritise your own workload, have initiative and enthusiasm, have the ability to work to tight deadlines and have a flexible approach to work.
