Commercial Graduate

An opportunity has arisen for a key role in Xtrac’s busy Commercial Department, as a Graduate Business Manager.

Candidates should be educated in Aeronautical, Automotive, Mechanical Engineering, or similar to degree level and currently be in their final year of study or recently graduated. Good academic results are a pre-requisite, as is a keen interest in Engineering.  Any direct experience or exposure to a Commercial environment within the engineering, automotive or motorsport industry is desirable, but the ability to work unsupervised, be self-motivated and demonstrate commitment to getting the job done are essential.

The individual filling the role of Graduate Business Manager will form a key part of Xtrac’s Commercial Team and the expectation is for that person to quickly become a fully integrated, contributing member of the department. Graduate Business Managers only work on “real” projects and will be given full ownership of the customer relationship and take responsibility for fulfilling their very real requirements. This opportunity specifically relates to Xtrac’s rapidly expanding Automotive and Engineering business sector which is quickly becoming a key market for Xtrac with a very diverse set of customers and a wide range of projects. The successful applicant will work closely with the responsible Business Manager to develop existing business and source new opportunities in order to meet strategic business targets.

The induction for the Graduate Business Manager includes training on the company ERP system and key processes as well as a thorough introduction to the company’s Manufacturing and Engineering functions by spending time in these areas. Each graduate is assigned a mentor who is there to ensure that the transition from Graduate Business Manager to Business Manager is as seamless as possible.

Your excellent communication skills will enable you to forge solid working relationships throughout Xtrac and with your customers. Good organisation and IT skills are a pre-requisite as is the ability to work effectively under pressure and to meet deadlines. You will be a confident, self-motivated team player who has a flexible approach to working hours when a project requires it.
